Wiggle Doodle was created with three similar images that are moved at a fast pace to create movement within the images.
Wiggle Doodle was our introduction to animation where we were able to trick the mind to make it appear that our images are moving. To create our wiggle doodle, we started by creating one image, then creating another image that should be closely resembled to the first image, and then creating one more image that looks very similar to the other two images. When the three images are moved at a fast pace, the objects in your image appear to be moving as the images do not perfectly match each other. One important concept of creating our Wiggle Doodle was that we must not try to show movement and that the second and third images need to be a close resemblance to the first image. The purpose to creating wiggle doodle was to introduce ourselves to animation and to understand the main concept of the persistence of vision and how fast moving images can trick the mind to make it appear that their is motion. The technique that we learned while creating Wiggle Doodle can also be used in our different classes. One class that we could use this is in United States History. We could use Wiggle Doodle to create an image from a scene in our history book and draw it two more times. When you have drawn it three times, you can play it to show the image from the scene and the image will look more realistic as their appears to be motion caused by the imperfections between the images.
